December 21st, 1999
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all at Salt Tank, enjoy the Millennium celebrations !. A new Salt Tank track produced with the Space Brothers and Swordfish of Astralasia is going to be played on Paul Oakenfolds New Years Eve show on Galaxy FM.


December 7th, 1999
Two 1 hour Salt Tank DJ mixes are to be broadcast on the Ministry of Sound webcast on 16th December and 13th January.


November 27th, 1999
Salt Tank have remixed Lost Witness 'Journey' &  Blu Peter 'Substance'. A track has also been co-written with the Space Brothers.

New single 'The White Island EP' was released yesterday on CD and Double 12". See the new Hooj Choons website for more info.


September 19th, 1999
The Salt Tank duo are still working on two more tracks for the next album, but took time out to perform a DJ mix on RTE Irish Radio One, look out for a Real Audio recording soon. In the pipeline are the possible remixing of either Lost Witness or Blu Peter.


August 30th, 1999
The release date of the new single 'The White Island EP' has been put back a month to 20th September '99.


August 27th, 1999
Recent single 'Dimension' appears on a couple more compilations, including the Clubber's Guide to Trance mixed by ATB and Amnesia Ibiza x-perience 99 released on blancoynegro. Meanwhile the new single 'The White Island EP' has climbed to 26 on the UK club chart from 33 last week.


August 7th, 1999
A really rare Salt Tank track called 'pueblo blanco' is featured on the new Gatecrasher Wet Album on mixed CD or unmixed triple vinyl. Visit the Gatecrasher website for full tracklisting.


August 2nd, 1999
The Megadog Stage at the Total Eclipse Festival has been withdrawn due to health and safety inspectors so Salt Tank will not be playing live, but the other stages are still going ahead.


July 30, 1999
The next single 'The White Island EP' is released on August 23rd '99 on Hooj Choons on Double 12" and CD. The single follows in the Ibiza spirit of single 'Dimension', it is a four track EP fearturing 'I Dream of Jeanie', 2 mixes of   'Rezzmorize', & 'Ocean' which previously only appeared on 'Li Lo' a limited edition promo CD. A mix of trance and chill out tunes for the summer!

July 2nd, 1999
Just a reminder that the next live date will be at the newly renamed Megadog Essential Total Eclipse Festival which takes place at Newnham Park, Nr Plympton, Devon, UK between 6th - 12th August 99. Tickets are £99 from Ticketmaster 0990 444 224 and NUS ticketline 0115 9129192, plus usual agents. Salt Tank are to play on the Megadog Stage on Wednesday 11th August. You can expect a live visual show, featuring images from the Angels Landing video. Other acts are Orbital, System 7, CJ Bolland, Lamb, Gus Gus, Coldcut, Rae & Christian, The Advent, Hybrid and many more. It is one of the best places to see the eclipse which will last for 1 minute and 39 seconds from 11.12am. See the website for more information at www.megadog.net.

The new single 'Dimension' has entered the Official UK Singles Chart at No. 52. The follow up single the 'White Island EP' is due in August '99 and will include the following tracks, 'I Dream of Jeanie', 'Rezzmorize', & 'Ocean'. It is to be released on Hooj Choons on Double 12" and CD. Salt Tank are currently working with Astralasia on a couple of tracks and have recorded vocals by The Space Brothers.

The next release on Salt Tank's own record label '4Real.com', is by 'Eviane' called 'Snowblind' and is released on June 7th '99.


May 27th, 1999
Visit the recently updated web-site of the graphics company, Digital Arts for the first in a series of Salt Tank Multimedia Toys available using the Shockwave player. It originally featured on a promo only CD for the Apple Mac called 'Alternate Scenario'.


May 16th, 1999
The set list for the live performance at The Drome this morning at 2:00, was 1. Digital Damage, 2. Badlands, 3. Eugina, 4. Rezmorize, 5. Taj, 6. Dimensions. The performers were David Gates, Malcolm Stanners, James Stiles [bongos], Graham Brown-Martin [video images] and some misplaced words from special guest Mark E.Smith of the Fall.
Look out for Salt Tank tracks on 5 compilations over coming months, including 'Deeper Shades of Hooj Volume Three', 'Cream', and 'Euphoria - Volume 2'.


May 15th, 1999
Salt Tank play live tonight at The Drome, 11 Stainer Street, London Bridge, SE1 at 23:30 for a 45 minute set, featuring special guests.


May 10th, 1999
The release date of 'Dimensions' has been moved back to 21st June, 99. The tracklisting for the vinyl has been confirmed as: Disc One: A. Salt Tank's Voices of Reason Mix B. Hybrid's Audio Candy Remix
Disc Two: A. Original Version B. Origin's Three Dimensional Dub. The CD format track listing is TBC.


May 8th, 1999
More rave reviews of 'Dimensions' appeared again in this week's DJ Magazine. It was charted at No.3 by Graham Gold who commented, "An excellent Hybrid Remix of a tune I've been canning for yonks". Scott Bond from Gatecrasher also charted it at No.15 in his chart and Colin Tevendale charted it at No.9 who commented "Cool melodic trance journey".


April 30th, 1999
The Hybrid Mix of 'Dimensions' was played on the Pete Tong Essential Selection on 30/4/99 at 20:00 on Radio 1 where it was charted at No.9 in the Cool Cuts Countdown. Hear a clip of the Hybrid Mix on the discography page.


April 25th, 1999
The new single 'Dimension' is out on 14th June on Hooj Choons featuring 2 Salt Tank mixes and others by Hybrid and Origin. Salt Tank have agreed to play live at the Drome, 11 Stainer Street, London Bridge SE1 on Saturday 15th May. The new album is complete with the band currently in negotiation with several record labels.


March 31st, 1999
The next live date will be at the Megadog Eclipse Festival at Newnham Park, Nr Plympton, Devon between 6th - 12th August 99. it should include a live visual show, featuring images from the Angels Landing video as used in the recent live show at Heaven. The new single Dimension [Voices of Reason] will be coming out through Hooj Choons featuring remixes by LSG and Hybrid, no release date has been announced as yet.


March 27th, 1999
The new single Dimension [Voices of Reason] continues to receive high reviews. It was charted in DJ at No.1 by Lee Burridge from Tyrant Sound System who commented, "Where have Salt Tank been ? Who cares - they're back with a monster." It was also charted at No.7 by Tilt who commented, "Definitely an unbelievable progressive tune".click to read reviews


March 13th, 1999
The set list for the live performance at Bedrock on Thursday 11th March, was 1.Digital Damage, 2.Badlands, 3.Eugina, 4.Dimension. The performers were David Gates, Malcolm Stanners, Guy Anderton [congas], James Stiles [bongos] and Graham Brown-Martin [video images]. According to the band themselves, it was the best one they have done since 1996.


February 25th, 1999
Future plans are to record 'Have a Cigar' with Roy Harper for the Cafe Del Mar 6 compliation. The recording of the new album for release in January 2000. Release of summer single set for June, written with Chicane called Leaving Town. The live show on March 11 is planned to feature a full visual show by Digital Arts, the leading video graphics company. The band will also be joined by the two percussionists Guy Anderton and James Stiles.


February 21st, 1999
The new single 'Dimension' featured on Paul Oakenfold's Essential Mix World Tour from Havana, Cuba. It was broadcast on Radio 1 on Sunday 21/02/99 between 02:00 - 04:00. Check the track listing.


February 15th, 1999
The only planned live date this year is 'Bedrock' at Heaven, Villers Street, off the Charing Cross Road, on Thursday March 11th 1999 23:30, including DJ's John Digweed, Nick Warren and Danny Howles with Terminalhead & Blim in the Star Bar. It is to celebrate the release of the new single 'Dimension[Voices of Reason]', already charted by Nick Warren at No.2 in DJ and Mixmag Update "big, classy, progressive hit".
