Next single is 'The Energy' on Bedrock, set for release on 24th September, its the darker sound of Salt Tank. Muzik magazine rated it 4/5. Here's David Gates, would be 'All Back to Mine' choices..

  1. Amanda Project - Cascades of Color - Original Mix, this track just takes me away to the Californian coastal highway down by Big Sur, its a warm funky organic house tune that we've looked to on our new Salinas vocal mix of Eugina.
  2. Neve - Free Yourself - Patient Saints Mix, Probably the best new vocalist we've heard since Shara Nelson sang on Blue lines-beautiful vocals and production worthy of Leftfield.
  3. CJ Bolland & Cisco Ferreira - Mantra, textural techo with deft changes of theme and an interesting cinematic end-timeless.
  4. This mortal coil - Another day Elizabeth Fraser actually singing lyrics you can understand, hypnotic and moving words written by Roy Harper.
  5. Aphex Twin - Xtal, we hovered home from an acid party[1989] on the Southdowns listening to Ambient Works 85-92 .You always remember the first time. Dreammusic for the wide awake.
  6. Al Green - Still in love with you, I rock my baby daughter to sleep listening to this album.
  7. Gomez -Whippin' Piccadilly, Real instrument in shock good album scare -not all good music comes out of sequencers. The most interesting rock band at the moment and the guy's got an amazing deep & gravelly voice.
  8. Ultramarine - every man and woman is a star classic lost album, atmospheric and full of tunes and samples you're sure you know but can't quite remember.
  9. Oversoul Feat. Gramma funk - universal unfolding taken from Undiscovered Ibiza vol 2 - crap name but brilliant selection that's on permanent play at salt HQ when we chill after dark
  10. Jam and Spoon - Stella - Nalin and Kane mix, got this on import from bang bang records in bristol-take a brilliant tune and reinvent it in a good way.
  11. Humate 3,2 bedrock mix without words but tonnes of passion like an offshore oil rig.
  12. Swordfish Soundtrack - Paul Oakenfold carefully selected tunes that work surprisingly well together over repeated plays - darker than the rest.
