- AppleMac PowerBook 150 running Steinberg Cubase Score sequencer
- Steinberg Mac Midi Interface
- E-mu EIII sampler M: "It was a revelation to us three years ago
when we found what it could do. It`s got no graphical editing but I
was used to working with numbers anyway and the filters are so strong
on it. There`s something a little better about the Emulators."
- Novation BassStation
- Korg Prophecy D: "I like it. There`s some really nice sounds
in it and you start getting into it and it leaps up. It`s reliable and
live it`s really good."
- Roland TB-303, TR-808, TR-909 M: "I still don`t believe there`s
any substitute for them. We`re fortunate that we got the classics before
things went bannans. My 303 was £100! Acid House was waning and the
thinking at the time was 303 had had its day."
- Roland JD-800 A: "Old, but it really is a must." M: "I
still think it`s a beautiful thing. I think they are going to get some
kind of classic status, beacuase they`re brilliant sound shapers with
all those controllers on the front."
- Roland U-20
- Roland Super JD-990 D: "A lot of the sounds were created on the
JD-800 and played back on the 990 which is a phenomenal piece of kit."
M: "It got a bit missed really. It`s got performance patching so
you have can dump your JD-800 patches or whatever into the 990 and build
up a set with it."
- Roland R-8
- Roland drum pads M: "They`re excellent if you stick them into
the sampler on unusual sounds. You get some really peculiar percussive
sounds so we want to open that up again."
- Mackie CR-1604 Mixing Desk
